Caregivers need their space...they need to find themselves in their new role...they need a safe place to share. Invite your important partner in your care to this program...it will definitely make a difference for them.

Breast Cancer Support Group

Meets the last Monday of each month 7:00-9:00pm - Friends Together Center

This group meets to offer hope, encouragement and support for breast cancer survivors. Women in the group gain strength in knowing they are not facing breast cancer alone, but with other women who understand. Providing a useful sharing experience and an environment where a woman can learn new ways of dealing with this experience.

Look Good, Feel Better

Sponsored by the American Cancer Society

Hosted by Friends Together and facilitated by a trained cosmetologist, this program is for women currently in treatment. Learn more about the care of your complexion, hair, wig, skin and nails. Participants receive a kit of cosmetics and care products valued at $300.

Dawn Marie Burns Scholarship

Friends Together awards $1000.00 in scholarship assistance each year in cooperation with Alpena Community College.
It is intended for students who are, or will be, enrolled at the college in a field of study related to health care.
Students who have been impacted by cancer are given preference.
For information and an application, please contact the financial aid office at Alpena Community College.
